Physical Therapy

Physical therapy services in Lake Forest & Highland Park

Physical therapy is about relieving your pain and restoring your function. Physical therapists use a wide variety of tools and techniques to achieve those goals based on your specific injury or pain complaint. Orthopedic physical therapy restores function to the musculoskeletal system. That includes bones, joints, tendons and ligaments.

Our techniques include evidence-based kinesiology, electrotherapy, exercise prescriptions, manual manipulation therapies, joint mobilization and health education to treat conditions such as chronic or acute pain, arthritis, soft-tissue injuries, cartilage damage, gait disorders and physical impairments caused by musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, neurological and endocrinological problems. We use physical therapy to improve a patient’s physical functions through examination, diagnosis, prognosis, physical intervention and rehabilitation.

Physical therapy includes prescription and assistance with specific exercises, hands-on manual therapy and manipulation, mechanical devices such as traction, and electrophysical modalities that include heat, cold, electricity, sound waves, radiation, assistive devices, prostheses, orthoses and other interventions designed to reduce or eliminate your pain and improve your ability to function and enjoy a better quality of life.

Discover outstanding pain relief and a wide variety of therapies. Schedule an appointment by calling our office at 847.432.4077 (Highland Park) or using our Request an Appointment form. We also welcome patients from Fort Sheridan, Deerfield and neighboring areas.
